Jeff King – Harlem Jazz Series – October 11, 2016 | 12:00pm – 2:00pm

Jeff King is an exciting tenor player who is capturing the Jazz world with his fresh approach. The current version of his band brings to the fore all that is good about Jazz sextet, swinging hard with great new arrangements and originals. Close your eyes and you are listening to the Messengers at the Old Blue Note.  Jeff King is sure and confident of the music he plays and the direction it’s headed! As leader of The Jeff King Band and Musical Director of the CBJ All Star band, Jeff continues to dig deep and explore the legacy of jazz music. His contemporaries have called him a master in finding and selecting music that captures the essential spirit of Jazz.  Jeff performs with some of New York’s great Jazz artists, and has toured the U.S., Europe, Africa, Canada and Australia.
